YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR KIDS LIKE NIC.

Nic lives with his loving parents and his little sisters. Both his parents are working around the clock, but now that the cost of living has risen so dramatically his income barely stretches to cover their essentials and it’s having a direct impact on Nic’s life – and his learning.

Nic loves maths and wants to be an astronaut when he grows up – but recently he’s not getting the good grades he’s capable of (and used to get until this year) because poverty is making learning so hard.

He’s had to move further away from school so is getting less time for homework, his parents are having to prioritise working so they have money for basics and he’s got no internet access at home.

He’s trying his absolute best but he’s not keeping up and he’s really worried and upset that he might get moved to a lower maths group if he doesn’t catch up by the end of the year, which makes his astronaut dreams feel unattainable.

That’s why support from incredible fundraisers like you is so important. Your support is helping kids like Nic, get access to The Smith Family’s education support programs to help support children who are doing it tough.

You’re helping ensure all Australian children get an equal chance to reach their potential and achieve their dreams .
